The Skyview Wolverines scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Alameda 64-32 on the road. Skyview didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.
Julian Soto was a one-man wrecking crew for Skyview as he went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and 2 assists. It was the first time this season that Soto scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Adan Rojas, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.
Alameda lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gerardo Alvarado, who scored eight points. Efrain Huerta was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five steals.
Skyview's win bumped their record up to 5-16. As for Alameda, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Skyview will take on Gateway at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Skyview: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Gateway has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road. Alameda will take on STEM School Highlands Ranch at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully STEM School Highlands Ranch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Friday.
