The Kashmere Fighting Rams are on the road again on Thursday and play against the Northside Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 81-53, which was the final score in Kashmere's tilt against Yates on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Northside had to suffer through a rough 86-28 loss at the hands of Sterling. While losing is never fun, Northside can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1279th, while Sterling is ranked 422nd).
Despite the loss, Northside got a solid performance out of keith Wilson, who scored 13 points along with three steals. The contest was Wilson's 11th in a row with at least ten points.
Kashmere's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Northside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-7.
Everything came up roses for Kashmere against Northside when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as the team secured a 69-21 win. With Kashmere ahead 33-6 at the half, the game was all but over already.
