Dinuba had lost three straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 18-7-1 to make it four. They fell just short of the Lemoore Tigers by a score of 14-13. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (ten), the Emperors still had to take the loss.
Kiley Gomez stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-5. Olivia Patterson was another key player, firing off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-5.
As for Lemoore, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-8-1 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since March 31st.
On Lemoore's side, Natash Johnson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. In other batting news, Maddison Adams was incredible, going 4-for-6 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaili Makekau, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
