The Horizon Hawks lost against the Timber Creek Wolves two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Horizon was beaten by Timber Creek 70-43. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Horizon in their matchups with Timber Creek: they've now lost three in a row.
Several Hawks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Bradley Webb, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Dhamija, who scored six points.
Timber Creek was led to victory by Chase Hibbard and Noah Taylor. Hibbard scored 17 points, while Taylor scored 23 points. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex De Leon, who scored six points along with three steals.
Horizon has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Timber Creek, their win bumped their record up to 5-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Horizon will take on Tohopekaliga at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tohopekaliga is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. Timber Creek and Freedom will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Freedom is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
