Even though the Medora Hornets have not done well against the Lighthouse Christian Academy Lions recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Everything went Medora's way against Lighthouse Christian Academy as Medora made off with a 64-43 win. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-15.
Medora's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Damian Salas led the charge by scoring 21 points. Kade Wright was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Lighthouse Christian Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Brock Banks, who scored 23 points, and Jared Mcadams who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds. The game was Banks' third in a row with at least ten points.
The win got Medora back to even at 1-1. As for Lighthouse Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.
Medora will head out on the road to face off against Vincennes Rivet at 7:30 p.m. on December 9th. Lighthouse Christian Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mooresville Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Mooresville Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lighthouse Christian Academy in Indiana (Mooresville Christian is ranked 73rd, while Lighthouse Christian Academy is ranked 229th).
