The Gaither Cowboys waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They walked away with a 59-48 victory over Newsome.
Gaither got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Marc Fransberg out in front who scored 15 points. Jayce Humphries was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Gaither is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Newsome, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.
Gaither will face off against the Longhorns at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Newsome's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on February 1st.
