Carbon strolled past Juab with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 60-46. Carbon pushed the score to 48-27 by the end of the third, a deficit Juab cut but never quite recovered from.
Carbon had a senior duo take command as Amiah Timothy scored 17 points along with seven assists and four steals and Madison Orth scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Orth has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. Kylan Sorenson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds and four steals.
Carbon pushed their record up to 14-4 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home. As for Juab, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.
Carbon will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Delta at 7:00 p.m. Delta has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 15. As for Juab, they will head out on the road to challenge North Sanpete at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North Sanpete is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
