Chapel Hill is 1-9 against Hillside since December of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Chapel Hill Tigers will be playing at home against the Hillside Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Chapel Hill didn't have too much trouble with Northern Durham on the road as they won 61-47. Given Chapel Hill's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while Northern Durham is ranked 267th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
David Mirikwe continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points along with two steals. Ben Cohen Vogel was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five assists and two steals.
Meanwhile, Hillside beat East Chapel Hill 47-34 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hillside.
Chapel Hill's win bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Hillside, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Chapel Hill came up short against Hillside when the teams last played back in January, falling 54-49. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Hillside's Jayde Braswell, who scored 20 points along with four steals.
