Baseball Recap: Scott Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Scott waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Sherman Tide with a sharp 14-3 win. Considering the Skyhawks have won six matchups by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Brodie Null looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Louden White was incredible, going 2-for-4 with eight RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those eight RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Ferrell, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one RBI.

Scott always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

Scott's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Sherman, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Coming up, Scott will take on Shelby Valley at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Sherman has already played their next contest (against St. Albans), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
