Plymouth extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 8-3 in the process. Everything went their way against the Wawasee Warriors as they made off with an 18-5 victory. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 27, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Gracie Patrick made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with three runs, three doubles, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Lexi Pike was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Gracie Kruyer was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Plymouth always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wawasee only posted an OBP of .367.
As for Wawasee, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 27, 2022, but that streak is no more.
On Wawasee's side, Heatherlynn Holder made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and four runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Audra Weaver, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
Plymouth didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-1 loss against NorthWood on the 2nd. As for Wawasee, they have also already played their next contest, an 11-4 win against Goshen on the 2nd.
