Glendale is 1-0 against Peoria since October of 2022, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Glendale Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the Peoria Panthers at 7:00 p.m. Glendale will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last.
Last Friday, everything came up roses for Glendale on the road against Carl Hayden Community as the team secured a 61-12 win. Glendale pushed the score to 61-6 by the end of the third, a deficit Carl Hayden Community cut but never quite recovered from.
Jesus Garcia and Zechariah Owens were among the main playmakers for Glendale as the former gained 209 total yards and three touchdowns and the latter threw for 307 yards and six touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Garcia is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Dominic Owens also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Peoria blew past Greenway, posting a 53-19 victory on the road. The result was nothing new for Peoria, who have now won three matchups by 25 points or more so far this season.
Peoria got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Javon Bell out in front who rushed for 215 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Dominic Kramer was another key contributor, throwing for 258 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
Their wins bumped Glendale to 5-2 and Peoria to 4-3.
Keep an eye on the end zone in Friday's game as both teams haven't had much trouble getting there this season. Glendale commands a daunting offense this season, having averaged 5.9 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like Peoria struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.6 per game. With these two high-octane teams facing off on Friday, fans should be in for an exciting offensive matchup.
