Volleyball Recap: River Ridge Gets the Win

River Ridge lost to West Carroll back in September, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Thunder by a score of 2-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

River Ridge easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-10.

AVA KETELSEN went supernova, getting 15 kills, nine digs, three aces, and one block. Another player making a difference was ELLIE RIFE, who had 22 assists and two aces.

They weren't the only good servers: River Ridge was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Carroll only served three.

River Ridge's win bumped their record up to 7-17-1. As for West Carroll, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-16.

River Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against East Dubuque on the 9th. As for West Carroll, they are taking a road trip to take on Dakota at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
