The Taylor County Bulldogs will take on the North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers at TBD on Monday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Taylor County only won by two when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 26-point they dealt the Tigers on Thursday. Taylor County blew past the Tigers 54-28. Taylor County didn't have much to brag about two games back, but this win makes it their second in a row.
LeeAsia Johnson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Taylor County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kourtney Jackson, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, North Bay Haven Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Marauders on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 35-29 win.
Taylor County is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-11 record this season. As for North Bay Haven Academy, they pushed their record up to 6-18 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Taylor County took a serious blow against the Buccaneers in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 60-27. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Taylor County was down 46-12.
