At the plate, Fuller Musgrove was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Carlos Smith was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Gulf Shores waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They blew past the Eagles 12-2.
John Will Nix looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned runs in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jacob O'Bryan, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Tres Moore, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Gulf Shores kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive games.
Gulf Shores pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Mary G. Montgomery, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
