Baseball Game Preview: Red Land Patriots vs. Carlisle Thundering Herd

Red Land is 7-1 against Carlisle since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. Red Land will square off against Carlisle at 4:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Red Land managed to slip by Gettysburg the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Red Land lost 8-0 to Gettysburg on Monday. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Patriots were not able to get on the board.

Red Land saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bradley Minter, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That's the most hits Minter has posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Carlisle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They fell 3-0 to Palmyra.

Carlisle's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Red Land, their defeat was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4.

Red Land took their win against Carlisle when the teams last played back in May of 2019 by a conclusive 11-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Red Land since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
