The Glenn Falcons will face off against the Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Glenn is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.
Glenn took a 17-run loss the last time they faced off against Bremen, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Falcons came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lions on Thursday, sneaking past 5-4. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Falcons as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

McKenzie Timm spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Makayla Laskowski was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double. That double was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Addi Manering, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run.
Meanwhile, Plymouth waltzed into their match on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Titans a 6-0 shutout.
Not much got past Aubrey Ferguson, who gave up just a hit and racked up six Ks to keep Taylor off the board.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lexi Pike, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Gracie Kruyer was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.
Plymouth pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Glenn, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.
Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Glenn hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .330. However, it's not like Plymouth struggles in that department as they've averaged .328. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Glenn took their win against Plymouth when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1 score. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Pilgrims/Rockies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
