Poteau had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 15-6 margin over the Central Tigers. The Pirates might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by eight runs or more this season.

The win got Poteau back to even at 9-9. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Poteau will host Muldrow at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.2 runs per game on average), something the Pirates will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Central, they will welcome Arkoma at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
