Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Santa Fe Christian). They were the clear victors by a 19-2 margin over the Francis Parker Lancers on Tuesday. Torin Bennett was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Maya Tyszkiewicz and Maddie Binnie did most of the damage at the plate: Tyszkiewicz went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs, while Binnie went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
