There's no place like home for Bedford, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. Everything went their way against the Shaw Cardinals on Saturday as the Bedford Bearcats made off with a 48-28 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Bearcats have posted since December 18, 2024.

Shaw's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyra Smith-Goard, who posted 17 points. That was a full 60.7% of Shaw's points, marking the third time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Tynya Jackson, who earned seven points.

Bedford's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Shaw, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-16.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Lorain the next time they take the court. Bedford will host Lorain at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while Shaw will head out to face them at 12:30 p.m. on February 8th.
