The Christian Academy Saints stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They blew past Florence Christian 42-12 at home. Winning may never get old, but Christian Academy sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Payton Rumley continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring eight points along with 20 rebounds and five assists. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last 12 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Carly Belle Jackson, who scored 12 points.
Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Florence Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Academy will challenge Williamsburg Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Williamsburg Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. Florence Christian will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Wilson Hall at 6:15 p.m. on January 16th.
