The Manor Mustangs lost against the Stony Point Tigers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Manor wound up with the same score they had in their last game (48-36), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for them in their matchups with Stony Point: they've now lost eight in a row.
Stony Point got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Mary Bortels out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 10 rebounds. Bortels has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Raeleigh Villanueva was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
Manor has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season. As for Stony Point, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manor will challenge McNeil at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
