It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Lee-Scott Academy Warriors ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top against Springwood by a score of 54-47. The score was all tied up 14-14 at the break, but Lee-Scott Academy was the better team in the second half.
Lee-Scott Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madison Davis, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Davis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games she's played. Mary kathryn Harris was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds.
Lee-Scott Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Springwood, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-7 record this season.
Lee-Scott Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Gators at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Glenwood will be looking to extend their current 13-game winning streak. Springwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
