Cedar Park Christian relied on the efforts of Gianna Greenlaw, who had ten digs and two aces, and Mikayla Liljenquist, who had 31 assists and three aces. Liljenquist has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last 22 times she's played.
They weren't the only good servers: Cedar Park Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in eight consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, King's came up short against Granite Falls on Tuesday, falling 3-0.
While King's had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-20, 25-21.
Cedar Park Christian's victory bumped their record up to 12-2-2. As for King's, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-4.
Cedar Park Christian skirted past King's 3-2 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Knights' Ella Young, who had 22 digs.
