If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for North Stanly. On Friday they take on West Montgomery at 7:30 PM. North Stanly will be hoping to build upon the 28-20 win they picked up against West Montgomery the last time they played.
North Stanly didn't finish too far behind, but the squad still lost 24-28 to Northwest Cabarrus last Wednesday. North Stanly got a solid performance out of senior Cameron Davis, who rushed for 143 yards and 2 touchdowns; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory.
Meanwhile, the match between West Montgomery and West Stanly was not a total blowout, but with West Montgomery falling 8-28, it was darn close.
