There's no place like home for The Chester Cyclones, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road two weeks ago. They enjoyed a cozy 52-34 victory over Powdersville on Friday. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Chester's six-point performance the contest before.
Elijah Coleman had a dynamite game for Chester, rushing for 314 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.5 yards per carry, and also picking up 68 receiving yards. Trooper Floyd was another key contributor, throwing for 175 yards and two touchdowns.
Chester's win was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.0 points per game. As for Powdersville, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Chester will take on Chapman at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Chapman is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last eight games. Powdersville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
