The North Florida Christian Eagles extended their postseason success on Friday against the St. John Paul II Panthers. They came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 21-14. Winning may never get old, but North Florida Christian sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Jp Pickles was his usual excellent self, rushing for 173 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.2 yards per carry, and also throwing for 185 yards and a touchdown.
North Florida Christian's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB seven times. The heavy lifting was done by Brady Warmack and Lucky Baldwin who racked up five sacks between them.
North Florida Christian pushed their record up to 9-3 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.7 points per game. As for St. John Paul II, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
North Florida Christian will head out on the road to face off against Cardinal Mooney at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Cardinal Mooney: 13.4, North Florida Christian: 18) so any points scored will be well earned. St. John Paul II does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
