The Marian Mustangs had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged St. Ursula Academy out 36-33. The win was just what Marian needed coming off of a 46-25 defeat in their prior game.
Marian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charlie Bingham, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Ruby Jansen, who scored nine points.
Marian now has a winning record of 8-7. As for St. Ursula Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Divine Child the next time they take the court. Marian will head out to face the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Arrows will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
