Zaiden Davis Dazzles in Centennial Victory
Zaiden Davis was instrumental in extending Centennial's winning streak to six on Thursday. Davis was dynamite, rushing for 175 yards and four touchdowns on only five carries, while also throwing for 259 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81% of his passes. His longest rush was for an impressive 63 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Alamogordo's probably not too fond of Davis given he always seems to get the better of them. When Davis last faced the Tigers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 136 yards and two touchdowns on only eight passes.

Nathanael Best Delivers Best Effort of Season
Sadly, Nathanael Best posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Alamogordo over Centennial on Thursday. Best's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 100 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Best and Alamogordo will head out on the road to challenge Carlsbad at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Best will face off against Kason Perez, the Cavemen/Cavegirls' star QB. So who wins this QB-duel? There's only one way to know for sure.

Lennis Washington Turns in Season-Best Performance
On Friday, Organ Mountain got the W thanks in part to Lennis Washington playing the best football he has all season. Washington picked up 133 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Organ Mountain's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4. Washington and Organ Mountain will square off against Clovis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

A Season-Best Effort from Dylan Hergenreder Leads Alamogordo over Centennial
Alamogordo came up short on Thursday despite Dylan Hergenreder delivering his best game to date. Hergenreder rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 80 yards.

The second Organ Mountain player making an appearance here is Xavier Perez, and for good reason. He threw for 252 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 38 yards.
