Creekside Christian Academy is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Georgia's top teams: Skipstone Academy, who was ranked second at the time (Creekside Christian Academy was ranked fifth). The Cougars walked away with a 15-12 victory over the Warriors on Thursday. The Cougars' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Caleigh Yarbrough made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 5.1 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Maya Lewis was a standout: she scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Aviana Mathis, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.
Creekside Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.8 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 10.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Trinity Prep's offense. They lost 15-0 to Scholars Guild Academy on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Lions' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
The win snapped Creekside Christian Academy's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-7 record. As for Trinity Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
Trinity Prep's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Creekside Christian Academy hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .329. It's a different story for Trinity Prep, though, as they've only averaged .257. Will they be able to contain Creekside Christian Academy's hitters?
