The Rosamond Roadrunners will head out to face off against the Immanuel Christian Crusaders at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Rosamond knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Immanuel Christian likes a good challenge.
Rosamond took a 20-run loss the last time they faced off against California City, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Roadrunners came out on top in a nail-biter against the Ravens on Friday, sneaking past 20-19. That's two games straight that the Roadrunners have won by just one run.

Priscilla Ponce was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Rico, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Rosamond kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matches they've averaged 9.4.
Immanuel Christian's found some homefield redemption this week after a overtime loss to Rosamond on Friday. The Crusaders blew past Trona 15-1. The result was nothing new for the Crusaders, who have now won ten games by seven runs or more so far this season.
Ava Blakie was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Holly Cosner was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Immanuel Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Rosamond, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Rosamond has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Immanuel Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Rosamond came out on top in a nail-biter against Immanuel Christian when the teams last played on Wednesday, sneaking past 11-10. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Roadrunners since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
