The Hicksville Aces's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Paulding on the road and fell 64-31. Hicksville has not had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Kennedy Adams was Hicksville's leading scorer, having posted 11 points.
McKenna Baird held things down on the boards with six rebounds.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Paulding to victory, but perhaps none more so than Addi Pease, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Kayleigh Dunham, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds.
Hicksville's loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-14. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.1 points per game. As for Paulding, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hicksville will take on the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty Center will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Paulding, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Parkway presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Panthers in Ohio (the Panthers are ranked 184th, while the Panthers are ranked 395th).
