Baseball Game Preview: Syracuse Titans vs. Weber Warriors

For the second straight game, Syracuse will face off against Weber. The Titans will be playing at home against the Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Syracuse came out on top against Weber on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Titans walked away with a 7-3 win over the Warriors.

Calder Millard made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. He has become a key player for Syracuse: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 4-14 otherwise. Millard was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Easton Hamblin, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last 12 matchups. Another player making a difference was Caleb Wilson, who went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Syracuse's victory bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Weber, they dropped their record down to 3-20 with the defeat, which was their 14th straight at home.
