Harrells Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of J'Kaeshi Brunson and Jesse Smith. Smith also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with eight.
Meanwhile, while it was Trinity Christian who put the first points on the board on Friday, it was Holly Springs who put up more. The Crusaders took a 12-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Hawks. The Crusaders' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Trinity Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Harrells Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Harrells Christian Academy has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 270 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Trinity Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 173.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Harrells Christian Academy took a serious blow against Trinity Christian in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 42-6. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Harrells Christian Academy was down 42-0.
