McDonald fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 48-46. McDonald has not had much luck with the Blue Devils recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Brady Klockner, who scored 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Cappuzzello, who scored 13 points along with two blocks.
McDonald's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Western Reserve, their victory ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-11.
McDonald will be playing at home against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Waterloo will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
