The Coral Gables Cavaliers will be playing at home against the South Miami Cobras at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. Coral Gables is out to stop a ten-game streak of losses at home.
 Coral Gables scored the most points they've had all season to find success  on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Edison as Coral Gables made off with a  54-32 victory. That looming  54-32 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Coral Gables yet this  season.
 Coral Gables got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Kamariya Dekle out in front who  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and ten  rebounds. Dekle also  posted two  blocks for the first time this season.  Veronica Trueba was another key contributor,  scoring 15 points along with three  steals.
 Meanwhile, South Miami's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough  59-12 loss at the hands of Homestead. South Miami has not had much luck with Homestead recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
  Brigette Herrero was South Miami's leading scorer, having posted six points.
 Coral Gables' victory  ended a four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 1-14. As for South Miami, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
 Everything came up roses for Coral Gables against South Miami in their previous meeting  back in January of 2023 as the  team secured a  58-18 win. Will Coral Gables repeat their success,  or does  South Miami have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
