Design Tech won against KIPP San Jose Collegiate on Friday with 14 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Dragons blew past the Summit Shasta Black Bears 14-1. Considering the Dragons have won eight matches by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Jeneva Fletcher made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. Those 15 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. She is also on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
In other batting news, Design Tech got a big performance out of Ella Lewis, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Lewis has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Sarah Todd, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three runs.
Design Tech kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive games.
