Emily Pietrzykowski made a splash no matter where she played. She tossed seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Pietrzykowski was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Those stolen bases marked the first that she has snagged this season.
In other batting news, Ava Yax was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs. Melanie Bump also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Byron-Bergen's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Alexander, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
