The Butler Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Westside 78-15 at home. Butler has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Leading Butler to victory were Brayla Harris and Karen Nimo. Harris scored 31 points along with three steals, while Nimo dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. Nimo hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Taylor Byrd was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Butler is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. As for Westside, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-17.
Butler will play host again and welcome Thomson, where tip off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Thomson will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Butler surely won't give up without a fight. As for Westside, they will head out on the road to take on Laney at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Westside comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
