The Crown Point Panthers will take on the Bolton Central Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Crown Point is leaving town to face Bolton Central after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Panthers lost 15-4 to Johnsburg Central on Monday.
Meanwhile, Bolton Central had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past Schroon Lake 12-1. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
Jaxon Egloff and Jace Hubert made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Egloff struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Hubert pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. At bat, Egloff went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Hubert got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Hubert has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Bolton Central let Liam Foy and William Hens run wild. Foy went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Hens went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those three hits gave Hens a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of John Roemer, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Bolton Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Schroon Lake only posted an OBP of .250.
Crown Point suffered a grim 14-3 defeat to Bolton Central when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
