League recap: Stamford gains ground in national rankings

Stamford made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,886 from 7,998.

Thanks to the talents of Henry Baldwin and Christian Bognar Darien has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Baldwin leads the league in passing with 1451 yards, while Bognar has rushed for 821 yards this season. Ridgefield's Sam Gravitte leads the league in receiving yards with 537 on 28 catches.

The marquee game in Fairfield County this week will be the clash between St. Joseph and Trinity Catholic. The Cadets enters the game ranked 22nd in the state, while the Crusaders ranks 15th.
