Fans got a thrill when Caleb Lewis and Dre Poleon connected against Foundation Academy. The connection was good for 68 yards, the longest such play in 2A District 4 this season.
Agape Christian Academy fell to North Florida Christian 52-6 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Alec Thompson provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Lions fell to Victory Christian Academy. He completed 9 passes for 154 yards and 1 touchdown and also ran for 54 yards. Thompson's favorite target this week was Denzel Irvin, who caught 5 passes for 105 yards.
Kevin Coy was the best running back in the league this week. He ran for 71 yards on 14 carries as the Storm fell to the Storm. Teammate Brice Ford added to the ground attack by rushing for 58 yards.
Victory Christian Academy's Lewis and Nekari Jones have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-4 quarterback Lewis has thrown for 1,552 yards this season, while Jones has 49 catches for 574 yards. Brad Lord's team's Gabriel Walker leads the league in rushing yards with 568.
The Lions made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,695 from 8,840. The improvement was the result of a 20-17 victory over Foundation Academy last week.
