Cotulla is 9-1 against the Wolves since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Cotulla Cowboys will head out on the road to challenge the Dilley Wolves at 6:15 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Cotulla and 20 for the Wolves.
Last Tuesday, Cotulla suffered a tough 49-29 loss at the hands of the Mustangs.
Meanwhile, Dilley was beaten by the Pirates 94-17 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Dilley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1547th, while the Pirates are ranked 378th).
Cotulla has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-20 record this season. As for Dilley, their defeat was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-26.
Everything came up roses for Cotulla against the Wolves in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 45-9 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cotulla since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
