The Dos Palos Broncos had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against Exeter by a score of 28-21 on Friday. The victory was nothing new for Dos Palos as they're now sitting on 11 straight.
Dos Palos' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Peyton Van worth led the charge by throwing for 156 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Andre Flores, who gained 104 total yards and a touchdown.
Exeter's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ruben Ruiz, who picked up 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 35 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Jacob Molina was another key contributor, throwing for 189 yards and two touchdowns.
Dos Palos has yet to lose a contest at home this season, leaving them with a 11-1 record. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 34.0 points per game. As for Exeter, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-2.
Dos Palos will stay at home for another week and welcome Torres at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. Torres will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Exeter does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
