Edwards County barely beat Red Hill the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions' pitcher stepped up to hand the Salukis a 10-0 shutout on Wednesday. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Cash Conner, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. Cy Nelson was another key player, getting on base in both of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.

Edwards County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Red Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8-1.
