After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Minto, the Tri-Valley Warriors were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 40-37 victory over Bristol Bay. That's another feather in the cap for Tri-Valley, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
When it comes to explaining why Bristol Bay lost, one person who can't be blamed is Chad Anderson. Despite the final result, he scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Julian Trefon, who scored eight points.
The victory got Tri-Valley back to even at 1-1. As for Bristol Bay, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-1.
Tri-Valley will take on Tanalian at TBD on Monday. Bristol Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
