Mt. Bethel Christian Academy has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the St. Francis Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mt. Bethel Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 270th, while St. Francis is ranked fifth).
Mt. Bethel Christian Academy suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They were dealt a 61-33 defeat at the hands of Paideia.
Despite their defeat, Mt. Bethel Christian Academy saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Gbayito Oluwatomisin, who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds and six steals, was perhaps the best of all. Oluwatomisin has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Berkley Vinson, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, St. Francis lost to IMG Academy on the road by a decisive 62-45 margin on Monday.
Mt. Bethel Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for St. Francis, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-6.
Mt. Bethel Christian Academy took a serious blow against St. Francis when the teams last played back in January of 2023, falling 102-43. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Mt. Bethel Christian Academy was down 58-14.
