The Hopkins Hilltoppers will head out on the road to take on the Rye Country Day Wildcats at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopkins is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Friday, Hopkins suffered a tough 67-46 loss at the hands of the Sharks. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
Meanwhile, Rye Country Day's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Tuesday after their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 72-65 to St. Luke's. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Hopkins' defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-2. As for Rye Country Day, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
Everything came up roses for Hopkins against the Wildcats when the teams last played back in December of 2023 as the team secured a 90-25 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hopkins since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
