Basketball Recap: Iowa Colony Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Iowa Colony won the last time they faced Goose Creek Memorial and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Pioneers put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 67-47 win. The Pioneers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

Iowa Colony's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Zoie Golding led the charge by going 6-for-8 to rack up 14 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Golding a new career-high in field goal percentage (75%). Kailee Scipio was another key player, shooting 43% from the field on her way to 15 points.

Iowa Colony was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Goose Creek Memorial only posted eight.

Bouie has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 15 times she's played. Kaydence Danrich also deserves some recognition as she posted her first blocks of the season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Iowa Colony, bringing their record up to 6-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points over those games. As for Goose Creek Memorial, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.
