The Hamburg Wildcats's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Whiting Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on January 29th. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.
Hamburg suffered their biggest defeat yet this season last Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 74-11 loss at the hands of Stanton. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hamburg has scored all season.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 79-14, which was the final score in Whiting's tilt against Parkview Christian on Monday. While losing is never fun, Whiting can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 359th in Iowa, while Parkview Christian is ranked 124th in Nebraska).
Hamburg's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-10. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.0 points per game. As for Whiting, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-11.
