The Purnell Swett Rams''s four-game losing streak came to an end on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Douglas Byrd 14-12. The victory was just what Purnell Swett needed coming off of a 48-0 loss in their prior contest.
Darius Bethea was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 127 yards and two touchdowns.
Douglas Byrd's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Talik Mccollum, who picked up 97 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
